Pero que el incidente haya tenido un final feliz no disminuye la gravedad de lo ocurrido. Esta causa no puede verse al margen de otros intentos de criminalizaci\u00f3n de la ayuda humanitaria mientras cientos de migrantes siguen perdiendo la vida en el mar.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Los tres bomberos acudieron a la isla de Lesbos para participar en tareas de rescate siguiendo el llamamiento de una organizaci\u00f3n humanitaria, Professional Emergency Aid, que organizaba desde Sevilla turnos de 15 d\u00edas a los que se enrolaron bomberos y profesionales de emergencias de toda Espa\u00f1a. Precisamente por su preparaci\u00f3n y recursos, estos voluntarios eran muy apreciados.<\/p>\n<p>La acusaci\u00f3n por la que han estado en vilo desde enero de 2016 \u2014castigada con hasta 10 a\u00f1os de c\u00e1rcel por cada inmigrante al que se hubiera ayudado a entrar ilegalmente en el pa\u00eds\u2014 no ten\u00eda ninguna base, y as\u00ed lo ha reconocido finalmente el tribunal. Es inaceptable que hayan tenido que sufrir dos a\u00f1os de penalidad unos profesionales cuya \u00fanica motivaci\u00f3n para acudir a Lesbos fue ayudar a salvar vidas en el peor momento de la crisis de los refugiados.<\/p>\n<p>Ahora que se ha hecho justicia, conviene recordar que ellos y otros voluntarios son la ant\u00edtesis de las manifestaciones de insolidaridad, falta de humanidad y cierre de fronteras que lamentablemente han definido la pol\u00edtica de asilo de algunos pa\u00edses europeos. Los bomberos de Sevilla, como Proactiva Open Arms y otras organizaciones injustamente perseguidas a causa de sus actividades de salvamento, representan lo mejor de Europa.
