Solo desde esta perspectiva se explica el rechazo tajante y altanero emitido el domingo por el l\u00edder del Gobierno extremista de Israel hacia el plan de paz para la Franja de Gaza propuesto, no por ning\u00fan gobierno extranjero o instituci\u00f3n internacional a los que demoniza y desprecia, sino por el organismo creado por su amigo y aliado, el presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump. Los planes de EE UU han chocado finalmente con el muro de la intransigencia de Netanyahu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israel celebrar\u00e1 elecciones el pr\u00f3ximo 27 de octubre y Netanyahu, que lidera el Gobierno m\u00e1s nacionalista y extremista de la historia del pa\u00eds, no est\u00e1 dispuesto a ceder ni un mil\u00edmetro en lo que pueda ser interpretado como una concesi\u00f3n hacia los palestinos por los votantes de su formaci\u00f3n, el Likud, o por sus socios de Gobierno, entre los que figuran destacados dirigentes racistas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ciertamente los 15 puntos presentados por la denominada Junta de Paz \u2014una organizaci\u00f3n privada creada por Trump para ningunear el papel de Naciones Unidas como mediador en el conflicto y de la que forma parte el mismo Israel\u2014 no aspiran en lo concreto a mucho m\u00e1s que el cese de las muertes en el territorio palestino y a un progresivo desarme de Ham\u00e1s y una retirada parcial israel\u00ed. Pero incluso esto le parece demasiado al dirigente que, a ra\u00edz del brutal ataque de Ham\u00e1s contra Israel el 7 de octubre de 2023 desencaden\u00f3 una feroz represalia militar que ha costado la vida a m\u00e1s de 73.000 civiles inocentes palestinos, causado 170.000 heridos, destruido el 80% de las viviendas de la Franja y confinado a sus dos millones de habitantes a vivir hacinados en condiciones infrahumanas. El nefasto balance no se ha detenido con la aceptaci\u00f3n de un alto el fuego en enero del a\u00f1o pasado. Desde entonces, el Ej\u00e9rcito israel\u00ed ha matado a 1.200 palestinos y frenado las labores de una reconstrucci\u00f3n que puede durar d\u00e9cadas. Netanyahu se ha convertido en un paria internacional y arrastra el oprobio de una orden de detenci\u00f3n por cr\u00edmenes de guerra emitida por La Haya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como es su costumbre, para no cumplir los compromisos alcanzados, Netanyahu ha cambiado las reglas del juego. Exige ahora que primero se desarme a la organizaci\u00f3n islamista Ham\u00e1s y despu\u00e9s se inicie una retirada del Ej\u00e9rcito israel\u00ed, que controla totalmente m\u00e1s del 60% de Gaza. En los \u00faltimos meses, ajeno a cualquier perspectiva de paz, su Ej\u00e9rcito est\u00e1 rehaciendo el sistema de comunicaciones y divisi\u00f3n del territorio de la Franja bajo su control en lo que es la prueba evidente de que no planea ninguna retirada. La estrategia de Netanyahu est\u00e1 clara: necesita la guerra y pretende sembrar dudas sobre el proceso de paz hasta convertirlo en infinito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para Netanyahu, la paz en Gaza es un obst\u00e1culo que le puede apartar del poder. Ninguno de los objetivos por los cuales inici\u00f3 la guerra \u2013destrucci\u00f3n de Ham\u00e1s, liberaci\u00f3n con vida de los rehenes israel\u00edes y un futuro de paz para la Franja e Israel- se ha cumplido. Sus reiteradas promesas de victoria ante Ir\u00e1n han ca\u00eddo en saco roto y sobre \u00e9l pende el juicio por soborno, fraude y abuso de confianza \u2014el presidente de Israel le ha negado el perd\u00f3n\u2014 y del que solo le protege el cargo de primer ministro.
