A dirlo all\u2019<strong>Adnkronos Salute<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e8&nbsp;<strong>Massimo Scaccabarozzi<\/strong>, presidente di&nbsp;<strong>Farmindustria<\/strong>. \u201cGrazie a un network internazionale \u2013 ricorda \u2013 si sta correndo davvero e penso che avere 35 candidati vaccini non sia per niente poco. Ci sono inoltre 14 imprese attive nella sperimentazione di vaccini, farmaci nuovi o prodotti gi\u00e0 esistenti che si testano contro il nuovo coronavirus\u201d.&nbsp;<strong>Il costo di un vaccino si aggira attorno ai \u201c900 milioni di euro<\/strong>, un dato fornito da Vaccines Europe che si basa sul prezzo medio per lo sviluppo di un siero. Per quanto riguarda un ipotetico nuovo antivirale, per il quale si debba partire da zero nella ricerca, il costo \u00e8 superiore ed \u00e8 attorno ai 2 miliardi di euro\u201d. Un prezzo che si riduce nel caso di \u201cprodotti gi\u00e0 utilizzati per altre indicazioni, come i \u2018cocktail\u2019 che si stanno usando anche per i pazienti italiani. Circa altri 35 vaccini sono in fase di sviluppo, e il governo del Regno Unito ha promesso ulteriori 46 milioni di sterline nella lotta contro il coronavirus. Tuttavia, gli esperti hanno detto che \u00e8 improbabile che un vaccino venga approvato in tempo per fermare l\u2019attuale epidemia, che finora ha visto pi\u00f9 di 110.00 persone contagiate in tutto il mondo.
