\u00a0“Non siate indifferenti alle sofferenze
del popolo iraniano: dategli voce, non dimenticate le vittime tra
i manifestanti degli ultimi giorni”. Questo l’appello di Shirin
Ebadi, avvocato difensore per i diritti umani e Premio Nobel per
la Pace. All’agenzia Dire, che l’ha intervistata a margine di un
incontro a Roma, Ebadi ha detto: “In Iran le proteste sono
scoppiate dopo che le autorita’, in una notte, hanno triplicato
il prezzo della benzina. Il regime ha oscurato internet per
giorni affinche’ la voce dei cittadini non uscisse dal Paese e
non si sapesse che oltre 200 persone erano state uccise nella
repressione e che, sempre secondo i nostri dati, oltre 4mila
manifestanti erano stati arrestati. Non dimenticateli”.
\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

A chi le domandava se consideri il presidente Hassan Rouhani
un moderato, cosi’ come parte della comunita’ internazionale
riconosce, la Premio Nobel ha risposto: “Rouhani e’ lo stesso che
in questi giorni ha ordinato alla polizia di sparare contro i
manifestanti. In Iran non voto da anni, perche’ so che le
elezioni non sono libere; ad ogni modo non ho mai sostenuto
Rouhani perche’ e’ stato a capo del Consiglio di sicurezza
nazionale”. Questo organismo, secondo Ebadi, ha avuto un ruolo
diretto nelle persecuzioni a danno dei cittadini. “Quando mi
chiedono cosa la comunita’ internazionale puo’ fare per aiutare
l’Iran, dico: smettete di sostenere i dittatori e ricordate i
nomi di chi e stato ucciso, anche recentemente, per difendere la
liberta’. Bisogna mantenere il loro ricordo”<\/p>\n\n\n

Ebadi ha pagato caro l’aver difeso i
diritti umani e civili dopo che, nel 1979, a Teheran si e’
affermata la Repubblica islamica. Obbligo di velo per tutte le
donne, che con l’imposizione della legge islamica hanno visto
perduti anche diritti acquisiti, ha ricordato la Premio Nobel,
“come avere un conto in banca o avere pari peso legale rispetto a
quello di un uomo davanti alla legge”.
\u00a0 \u00a0Ebadi, che era un avvocato affermato, ha dovuto lasciare
l’Iran dopo aver subito il blocco dei beni e l’interdizione a
praticare la professione. Il marito e la sorella sono stati
incarcerati al suo posto. Ebadi ha cosi’ cresciuto le due figlie
all’estero, da dove pero’ non ha smesso di lavorare per il bene
del suo Paese: “Piu’ volte l’intelligence iraniana mi ha
contattato dicendomi che, se avessi interrotto il mio lavoro, mi
avrebbero restituito i miei averi e avrebbero liberato i miei
cari, ma io sono convinta che se un popolo non paga il prezzo
della propria democrazia, non sara’ mai libero”.
\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n

\u00a0Rispetto alla storia recente del suo Paese e ai 40 anni di
repubblica islamica, Ebadi ha detto: “Noi musulmani vogliamo il
cambiamento e questo sara’ possibile solo quando la religione
sara’ separata dallo Stato. Noi vogliamo uno Stato laico come il
vostro. Abbiamo 5mila anni di storia alle spalle: sono certa che
un giorno succedera’”.
\u00a0 \u00a0La Premio Nobel e’ stata ospite di un incontro con gli
studenti delle scuole superiori organizzato a Roma al Teatro
Quirino dall’Associazione nazionale volontarie Telefono Rosa –
Onlus in occasione della Giornata internazionale contro la
violenza sulle donne. Durante il dibattito e’ stato menzionato
l’ultimo libro in cui Ebadi racconta la sua vita e il suo
impegno: ‘Finche’ non saremo liberi. Iran, la mia lotta per i
diritti umani’, in Italia edito dalla Casa editrice Bompiani.<\/p>\n\n\n
