L\u2019&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.exportplanning.com\/it\/magazine\/article\/2019\/05\/29\/la-lunga-crescita-degli-accumulatori-elettrici\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">aumento del commercio mondiale<\/a>&nbsp;degli accumulatori agli ioni di litio ha sostenuto la domanda di litio e cobalto, generando un forte aumento del prezzo di questi beni. Nel 2015 il cobalto costava 25 euro\/kg, nel 2018 61 euro\/kg (+145%). Il prezzo del litio, nella forma di carbonato, nel 2015 si attestava intorno ai 5 euro\/kg, mentre nel 2018 \u00e8 arrivato a 12 euro\/kg (+140%). L\u2019ossido di litio \u00e8 passato da 7.5 a 12 euro\/kg (+61%).&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>Attualmente gli accumulatori al Li-Ion sono i pi\u00f9 utilizzati e secondo un report della compagnia cilena&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mining.com\/worlds-no-2-lithium-miner-sqm-sees-demand-growing-by-17-this-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chemical and Mining Society (SQM)<\/a>, uno dei pi\u00f9 grandi produttori di litio al mondo, la domanda delle componenti fondamentali per la produzione di questa tipologia di accumulatori aumenter\u00e0 significativamente anche nei prossimi anni.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pricepedia.it\/static\/uploads\/file\/2019\/05\/29\/batterie.png\" alt=\"Andamento cobalto e litio\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il grafico che segue riporta il prezzo delle importazioni UE del litio nella forma di carbonato e di ossido e la quotazione spot del cobalto rilevata al London Metal Exchange. I prezzi sono stati riportati in indice in euro per facilitarne l\u2019analisi.&nbsp;Negli ultimi 4 anni il prezzo del litio (sia nella forma di carbonato che di ossido) ha subito una forte crescita. Nei mesi pi\u00f9 recenti, i prezzi dei due beni si stanno in parte differenziando. Il prezzo del carbonato di litio sta continuando a crescere, mentre quello dell\u2019ossido, dopo aver raggiunto dei valori di massimo nella seconda parte del 2016 \u00e8 rimasto relativamente stabile. Nel complesso, il prezzo del litio sembra essersi stabilizzato a livelli prossimi ai massimi storicamente raggiunti.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019evoluzione del prezzo del cobalto, pur essendo anch\u2019esso sostenuto dall\u2019elevata produzione di accumulatori al Li-Ion e aver raggiunto valori massimi nella prima parte del 2018, ha subito nei mesi pi\u00f9 recenti una significativa diminuzione a causa di un forte ciclo della domanda cinese. La Cina \u00e8 il primo importatore di cobalto al mondo; negli ultimi 5 anni le quantit\u00e0 importate sono aumentate del +108%. Il grafico che segue segnala l\u2019aumento esponenziale delle importazioni (fonte&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.exportplanning.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ExportPlanning<\/a>).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Importazioni cinesi di cobalto in kg<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table\"><tbody><tr><\/tr><tr><th><\/th><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dopo aver raggiunto il massimo storico a maggio 2018, superando i 75 euro\/kg, il prezzo del cobalto \u00e8 crollato e ad aprile 2019 \u00e8 sceso sotto i 30 euro\/kg (-61% rispetto al massimo di maggio) ritornando ai livelli del 2015. I motivi di questa inversione di rotta vanno ricercati:<\/p>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>nel rallentamento della domanda cinese, dopo i forti acquisti realizzati fino alla prima met\u00e0 del 2018 che si sono tradotti in un accumulo di scorte;<\/li><li>nell\u2019eccesso di offerta, soprattutto della Repubblica Democratica del Congo, indotto dagli acquisti cinesi. In un articolo su&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-cobalt-prices-electric\/cobalts-price-crash-bottoming-out-stocks-to-hinder-quick-rally-idUSKCN1Q11EP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reuters<\/a>, George Heppel, analista di CRU, sostiene&nbsp;&nbsp;High cobalt prices encouraged new supplies last year.
